China’s food production is evolving rapidly, and the demand for future proof solutions has never been greater. To strengthen the Dutch position in the Chinese market, a Strategic Multi-Year Market Approach (SMM) is being launched, which brings horticulture, water, energy, and biodiversity expertise together in one powerful partnership. The goal? To strengthen the Dutch position in China and open doors for companies ready to make an impact.
The SMM 2025–2027 programme is a public-private partnership launched by the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food security, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, and Dutch Greenhouse Delta.

This region is considered one of the world’s three most suitable regions for flower production. The programme features company visits, a working lunch, and a roundtable meeting with local stakeholders. This mission is an ideal opportunity to explore the heart of China’s flower industry and meet potential partners.
