Market Study on Protected Cultivation in Egypt

Delphy conducted a comprehensive market study on “Protected Cultivation in Egypt” commissioned by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). This study provides a detailed exploration of Egypt’s strategic adoption of protected cultivation, navigating challenges such as limited water resources and technological complexities. A key case study, which includes collaborations with the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and insights from Dutch and Egyptian growers, illuminates the intricate dynamics between technology, government, and private-sector engagement.

The research encompassed extensive field visits, data collection from key players in the greenhouse industry, and a thorough analysis of diverse factors influencing the market for protected cultivation in Egypt.

Together with the Netherlands-African Business Council (NABC) and Delphy, with support from RVO, we explored market opportunities through a market study and a study trip to Greater Cairo.
