Holistic solutions and knowledge from the Netherlands for producing food locally in a region with unfavorable climate conditions, involving water-energy-food simultaneously, can be of great use for further ensuring food security in countries worldwide. This was the main message during the Horticultural Days, an event organized at the Netherlands Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020 this week.
The Dutch horticultural sector binds forces and organizes a full two-day lasting Horticultural program at the Netherlands Pavilion, during the theme-week ‘Food, Agriculture & Livelihoods’ from 17 – 23 February 2022 at the World Expo in Dubai.
The demand for the availability of fresh, sustainable and locally produced food is increasing all over the world. Dutch Greenhouse Delta responds to this with a network of partners with knowledge of the Dutch horticultural sector. The network is constantly expanding, which enables it to contribute to total solutions abroad.
From November 22 to 25 a Dutch trade mission to the United Arab Emirates takes place. The mission is initiated by Dutch Greenhouse Delta, and organized in close cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United Arab Emirates and the agricultural council of the Gulf. No fewer than seventeen companies are participating.
