Recently, a delegation of 50 Vietnamese officials from five provinces was welcomed in the Netherlands. This visit marked an important step in strengthening ties and exploring opportunities within the horticultural sector. Dutch Greenhouse Delta was keen to be involved in hosting this delegation, considering Vietnam’s potential as a key market for Dutch horticulture industry!
Dutch Greenhouse Delta took part in the seminar ‘A Decade of Growth: The Future of Dutch-Vietnamese Horticulture’ at Westland Town Hall. This event was aimed at knowledge exchange and identifying opportunities and challenges in Vietnam’s horticultural landscape. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the five Vietnamese provinces Ninh Tuan, Hoa Binh, Dak Nong, Phu Yeng and Quang Binh and the Netherlands Vietnam Horti Business Platform (NVHBP), witnessed by our special ambassador Mayor Bouke Arends.
After the opening remarks by the Mayor Bouke Arends and Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Huong Nam, the Vietnamese officials provided valuable insights into the prospects and challenges within their respective provinces. Our CEO Mirjam Boekestijn discussed the role of Dutch Greenhouse Delta, NVHBP, and the opportunities available to Dutch businesses in Vietnam. The seminar was attended by several Dutch companies and DGD partners.
This delegation visit was a significant opportunity for DGD to strengthen relationships and explore future collaborations with Vietnam!
