We were honored to welcome a delegation from Lam Dong province, Vietnam, on 23 October. In partnership with the the Municipality of Westland and the Netherlands Vietnam Horti Business Platform (NVHBP) we organised a special meeting at the World Horti Center. The goal of their visit? To strengthen and expand horticultural collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
Earlier this year, a large Dutch delegation visited Lam Dong to lay the groundwork for the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI), affirming the shared ambitions between the two regions. This week, Mayor Bouke Arends signed the LOI on behalf of the Municipality of Westland.
Following the signing ceremony, representatives from both regions participated in a seminar to exchange insights and ideas. Central to the discussions was Vietnam’s aim to enhance its production of food, flowers, and plants, emphasizing how Dutch innovations and technologies can play a key role in achieving these goals. During the closing discussion, companies from Lam Dong and Westland explored new opportunities for collaboration.
