It still seems far away, but the Expo 2020 Dubai is fast approaching and we are looking forward to putting together an excellent program to give Dutch horticulture the visibility it deserves.
1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022
This world exhibition will be held from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 and includes more than 200 countries and organizations that will be presenting themselves. Below you can find the promo video of the Expo 2020 Dubai.
Dutch Dubai Pavilion
The Netherlands will present itself in the Dutch Dubai Pavilion and the finishing touches are currently being put on the construction of this pavilion, with the biotope as a unique eye-catcher. This biotope embodies the chosen theme ‘uniting water, energy and food’ and will be a showpiece of sustainability. It will demonstrate the connection that the Netherlands has managed to make between sustainable energy, water management, agriculture and circularity. The Agri-Food Week
Under the initiative of the DGD, InnovationQuarter and Rotterdam Partners, and in cooperation with Dutch horticulture-related parties and partners, we are working on an attractive program for the Horticulture Food Cluster during the most opportune moments of the Expo 2020 Dubai. The Agri-Food Week (from 17 February to 23 February) is a key event for the Dutch horticultural sector.
During the Agri-Food Week, the Dutch government in cooperation with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is organising a programme on day 1 (20 February) with the theme; Building an eco-system.
On day 2 (21 February), the private Dutch Horticultural Food sector will expand on this theme and show what our unique eco-system has to offer right now and in the future. On day 2, we will also be hosting the matchmaking sessions with investors, developers, retailers and governments.
